Unfortunately Bishop Carol has had to re-schedule her visit to St. John’s. While we do not yet have a new date, we look forward to having her celebrate worship with us soon. We will keep you updated.
The Invite, Welcome, Connect group would like to thank all who attended the Baked Potato Bar Fellowship dinner on Friday April 26. We served 38 people and had a wonderful evening sharing in fellowship and the blessings of God. Thank you to all who donated and helped with the cleaning, Valerie, Steve, Mary, Kathy and Fr. Al.
Fr. Al will be adding a Wednesday noon weekday service to the calendar. Start date to be determined.
Quilters Group meets at 1pm on Wednesday, May 8, in the Parish Hall.
Prayer Shawl Group meets at 2pm on Wednesday, May 8, in the Parish House.
Counters are Needed to count the offering, especially after the Sunday service. Having more volunteers for this important internal control function will allow us to rotate responsibility for this task each week. The count is quick and easy to complete, and there are always two (unrelated) people performing the count. Training will be provided. Bishop Election Update: The Diocesan Transition Committed invites you to of a series of open meetings around the diocese May 7-11, giving the people of the diocese an opportunity to meet and learn more about the nominees for election as the diocese’s 17th bishop diocesan.
The Diocese of Massachusetts has scheduled a series of “Meet and Greets” to give the people of the diocese an opportunity to meet and learn more about the nominees for election as the diocese’s 17th Bishop Diocesan. Locally, please join Father Al on Wednesday, May 8 from 10-11:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 3055 Main Street in Barnstable. You may go to one or more of the listening sessions. · Tuesday, May 7 at All Saints’ Parish, Ashmont in Dorchester, 7-8:30 pm.

· Thursday, May 9 at Christ Church in Needham, 2-3:30 pm.
· Friday, May 10 at Christ Church in Andover, 7-8:30 pm. (with childcare)
· Saturday, May 11 on Zoom, 10:30 am-noon (with special Zoom rooms for youth and young adults).
Additionally, there will be a “Coffee & Conversations with Clergy, Postulants and Candidates” session on Thursday, May 9, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at St. Paul’s Church in Dedham.
