Our Caring for Creation Committee is excited about our latest fundraiserbecause you don’t have to buy ANYTHING! We’re collecting gently worn, used and new shoes to raise money for Saint John’s. Not only do you help us, but the shoes also get a second life with those in need. It’s a double donation! For a light-hearted explanation of what the fund raiser does and how it ties into our Creation Care mission, please visit:  hhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWLsg_6eda8&t=4s

For questions please contact Helen Miller. A donation box will be located on the front porch 161 Main Street for you to drop off your donations through July 30.

“Sewing Sundays” has switched to their summer hours! We will be meeting on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm, in the Parish hall for the summer. We have lots of projects to prepare for! 4th of July Craft fair, Porchfest and… can you believe it?… planning for the Christmas Fair!! You do not need to know how to sew or be crafty. There are lots of ways you can help and have a great time!!!

A very hearty Thank You to Deb and Herb Roberts, Alan and Helen Miller, Kristin Gregoire, and all of those who helped in any way with the Memorial Day weekend Yard Sale! As soon as all the receipts are in, we’ll publish the amount earned. This was a huge undertaking not only logistically but in the coordination of donors, crafters, consigners, and dedicating spaces for the sale. There were so many who donated, picked-up, delivered, moved stuff upstairs, downstairs, inside, outside, and all around the properties, then cleaned up after it was all over. We thank you one and all!

We have copies of a book entitled “Invite, Welcome, Connect” which is about inviting people to join the congregation and become active members. Rev Barbara will be spearheading a group working with the book and The Vestry to look into several financial possibilities including turning one of our three buildings into a rectory and what restrictions there are on endowment money held by the church. Contact Rev Barbara for more info.
