Matching Gift Opportunity for 2026 Pledges – Through April 15
An anonymous couple in the parish has offered to match—dollar for dollar—any new pledge or increase to an existing pledge made after February 15 for the 2026 budget year. This generous match is available through April 15, up to a total of $15,000. The opportunity closes after that date. Thank you to those who have already participated. Community Book Read; Brown Bag Friday Friends Bible Study: We are reading “Entering the Passion of Jesus; A Beginners Gide to Holy Week” by Amy-Jill Levine. Books are available from your favorite retailer or the office. March 6- Jerusalem: Risking Reputation, March 13 The Temple: Risking Righteous Anger, March 20 Teachings: Risking Challenge, March 27 The First Dinner: Risking Rejection, Good Friday/April 3 chapters 5 and 6 The Last Supper and Gethsemane.
Common Threads meets on Wednesday, March 11 at noon in the Parish Hall. Bring any crafting skill that you would like and join us for a few hours, or for as long as you can stay.

Hour of Prayer continues in the church, weekly, on Wednesdays, from 12-1pm.
Confirmation Meeting Dates in March are March 8 and March 22. We will once again start at 9 am. Please read Chapter 2, “The Bible: Stories about Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
One of these Sundays, take a look at the Stained Glass Windows, choose one and find the Bible Story it represents. If you need it, I can show you how to search an online Bible to find the story.

“Hats Off to Easter Fun!” Easter Bonnet Contest & Egg Hunt – Join the Fun!
Spring is in the air, creativity is blooming, and St. John’s is ready for a little playful fun! This Easter, we’re inviting everyone to celebrate with flair, laughter, and a splash of color at our Easter Bonnet Contest, happening alongside our annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Here’s how it will work: Participants of all ages are invited to create and wear their most festive Easter bonnet. Flowers, ribbons, springtime themes—let your imagination run wild! There will be a $5 entry donation, and all proceeds will support our church’s ministry. Even if you don’t enter the contest, you’re welcome to wear a hat and join in the fun.
Palm Sunday is March 29th. Easter is Sunday, April 5th.
